For an 02 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 V8 with 350,000 miles and literally nothing wrong with it besides rusted out rockers? I was thinking of offering $700.

rusted out rockers
Literally tree fiddy.

It’s only one side on the back, slather the Bondo on.

A rusty 14 year old Jeep that’s been around the world 14 times? Scrap money, maybe $200.

It runs and drives pretty good though.

For now. As soon as you need to do anything do it, you’ll exceed its value.

$100 and hope it doesn't break down on the way to the scrap yard

$500 cash on the hood.

Seventy-three cents and a blue M&M.

Friends don’t let friend buy non-4.0 Litre Jeeps
![]() 05/19/2016 at 18:31 |

No, I need a V8 for reasons.

Litre Cola? Do we make Litre Cola?

Whatever the gas in the tank is worth and not a dollar more.

What would the Jeep be used for? I don’t think I’d trust it as a DD.

Beater/parts runner/off road mobile/fishing mobile

So I should probably pass.

Anything that runs, drives decently well and can be registered is probably worth 700. I’ve seen people spend a lot more on a lot less of a vehicle before.
![]() 05/19/2016 at 18:51 |
|
Then why not? If it runs for a year, you’ve gotten your money’s worth.

Agreed, I’m a tad skeptical over Mopar reliability though.

Me too, but it still drives and it has 350K on it. Throw 500 on the hood, shake hands and enjoy driving a vehicle knowing whatever you do to it doesn’t matter.
Hell if it is close, I’d buy it for 500 just to do a tough truck competition with it.

It’s technically not for sale.

As an investment proposition, does this product excite me for $700?
No,
Personally, I’d think I’d never be able to recoup the losses/profit in 5 months time and the incurring bills would just drive me mad.
I don’t think I could handle it, and for those reasons... I’m not going to invest, so I’m out.
![]() 05/19/2016 at 19:05 |

Then you’ll want to find a V8 in another vehicle. Trust me on this one.

I’d be patient and find something else, but then I’m a buzz kill.

obligatory “I’m pretty sure a Miata would be a better [Beater/parts runner/off road mobile/fishing mobile] than [an 02 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 V8 with 350,000 miles and literally nothing wrong with it besides rusted out rockers]” post.
seriously, I mean what kind of fish doesn’t like a Miata?

I hate miatas

odd site to post on.

Wow. Thats impressive mileage on the V8...

You’re probably asking the wrong question. Think about being offered $700 for a running Grand Cherokee with 350k on the odo. This is probably a case of not worth selling, because its not worth anything but it runs. Are they supposed to buy another running vehicle with that $?
![]() 05/19/2016 at 19:59 |

No, they just want it gone.
![]() 05/19/2016 at 20:27 |

Oh, I thought it wasn’t technically for sale and you were just going to see if you could buy it. That changes things.

It’s not technically for sale, but they’re looking to get rid of it.
